i think keiji is overall an amazingly written character and one of the best in yttd however there is one major issue i have with his writing and it’s literally just. how they handled megumi. you’d think that after revealing to everyone that keiji purposefully let someone die right in front of him there would be more conflict based around that (especially between him and sara) but instead he just feels bad about it for like 2 seconds and then they all forget about it. Why

glimmer: literally crying and begging horde prime not to hurt adora
horde prime: ...
catra: seems mildly irritated, if anything, at the mention of she-ra
horde prime: ah yes. the epitome of true love.

you know, there’s a throwaway line in a flashback in the Daredevil TV show that I canNOT stop thinking about
it’s when Stick first comes to the orphanage and meets Matt—he brings up payment, and one of the nuns offers the savings account that Jack left Matt.
and like. That’s a punch to the gut, right? It’s not just me?? Jack died for those savings, to give his boy a better life. And Stick took it.
And it’s not just that, but the fact that it was *payment* for everything he put Matt through—the mental and psychological conditioning that built this incredibly fucked-up vigilante.
It’s the last thing Jack would’ve want for Matt. it’s the foundation of Matt’s identity, something he can’t live without. GOD I’m turning it over and over in my head I can’t stop thinking about it

What are your thoughts about the pacing of the story? I've seen a lot of people saying that it wasn't well distributed I mean they didn't get enough GreatTyme for them to build this Real Connection between them. I see people saying they don't feel the connection between the characters. And then for Korn and Tonkla, people were saying they were such a big deal on the past episodes and suddenly no interactions between them after that fight. What do you think?
Anon, I would be lying to myself and everyone else if I expressed any negative thoughts or feelings about 4 Minutes, because I genuinely don't have any. The way Sammon and BOC chose to present this story is breathtaking and I'm so impressed and proud of what they've done with it.
I've seen all the complaints you mentioned and it makes me sad, I'll admit. 4 Minutes is a show that should be judged as a whole, not in fragments and certainly not in the way many fans have chosen to talk about it.
Especially about TymeGreat the complaints are pretty unfair, because we've gotten soooooo much about them and about their bond and about who they are as people, individually or together. It's a shame to judge a story this way and it makes your experience watching it worse.
About KornTonkla, it's pretty logical why their story is laid out the way it is. I don't know why someone would not like how their relationship has developed when that was the whole point to begin with.
I'm not delving into any of this further because I don't have the brain power right now, but basically what I want to say is that the pacing is perfect, if not a little too fast, all the characters have gotten their time to shine, all their stories are interconnected in a way that's deeply satisfying and fascinating to watch, and all the relationships make me want to eat my skin and light my house on fire.
I hope the final episode will conclude this wonderful show in a way that will stay with me for a long time, as the rest of the show has achieved so far.

Girl if Louis had to sit through the same opera ran by vampires like Santiago, dozens of times, he'd bring a book, too. Also, Claudia was in the play. Was Louis ONLY interested in what Lestat likes and not Armand OR Claudia or his own interests?
also didn't louis judge lestat heavily for pretending to read books to pass as cultured? didnt he ignore him at HOME as he read his books?

I freaking love this scene so much, you dont even know. Its so heartmeltingly cute: they’re discovering his powers together! They’re in on the secret together!!! Mason being presumably the first person to actually, seriously just reach out to Corey, just some feeling of warmth. Its what Corey probably needed so much after losing Lucas in such a way, not to mention his parents. No wonder he fell so hard
Its also so much fun to compare this scene to the Liam-Mason Gym Scene in Season 4 Episode 5, just the contrasts.. *chef’s kiss*

If I had a nickel for every time a Matt Smith character had a sex scene with his mom, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice.

@demidritch: [54] what’s their instinct in a fight / flight / freeze / fawn situation? — CHARACTER BUILDING QUESTIONS
freeze, big time. can often be comorbid with flight, after the fact, but freeze is the primary reaction and will always strike first and hardest.
the way i see it, constantine's greatest asset is his mind: he's a planner and a schemer before he is anything else, and he has to be able to work with a lot of moving parts and shifting rulebooks in order to survive in an occult world where quite literally anything — including whole mythological pantheons and the stories / systems that fundamentally define their natures and their powers — can be made possible / real if you are adept enough to believe it so. confront him with terror and his brain will automatically confront itself with every possible or potential cause, origin, motive, ability, limitation, escalation, association, affiliation, and outcome that he can connect through all his many decades of study to the source of that terror; as well as every possible or potential solution to the situation at hand and every alternative, backup, and contingency to each of those possible / potential solutions. he locks up.
another contributing factor to the freeze is that in every situation where he is facing down something (or someone) he's afraid of, an ever-shrinking* part of him forever haunted by newcastle and ravenscar will always want to whisper 'is this real?' which of course, when you dissociate and hallucinate as much as constantine, is not so easy to determine unless the thing you fear is actually touching you; which would require one to patiently wait for the thing you fear to come close enough to touch you. hence the freeze.
*— i say "ever-shrinking", though, because as he's gotten older and has had to deal with larger and larger threats and an increasingly cataclysmic scale of consequences, all while often operating on a severely-limited timetable, constantine has become less inclined to care about whether or not the thing he's facing down is real or not: the way his luck runs, the chances are it's probably real.
